Listen to me going on. How are you doing? What have you been up to? How’s the wife and kids? Is that an avocado sandwich you’re having for lunch?
Whether you’re a regular commenter, a long-time lurker or a new reader, why don’t you drop me a line in the box below?

My cats breath smells like cat food!
Well hey La! I’ve just finished writing a post actually, explained exactly what’s new with me…
Its all very exciting! Its time for my life to get back on track. And its happening…
I am busy with my twin hobbies of being depressed and blogging copiously about it, sharing the misery in minute detail. sigh.
How’s the wife and kids?
I have a wife and kids? Blimey. I mean, i know i used to get quite drunk sometimes but you’d think i’d have remembered something about it… ;o)
I’m doing ok, given the circumstances. I hope you are too.
Hey guys!
So no-one had the avocado then? (Apart from me yesterday. Veh good it was too.)
I am sick with a cold. That’s all that’s new here…
Hope you feel better soon, Coyote. Sending you warm positive lemony honey thoughts x
I don’t have a wife and/or kids, and I don’t like avocado.
Life is good, but I have a cough. And that’s about all that’s happening in my life right now.
I have cough too. Cough is rubbish.
What have you got against avocado? I was planning to serve it as a starter.
all’s well in the smoke as you know, am hoping to see you before xmas time, sorry for making you vom earlier
xx
hmm this one is much better for leaving comments, *nods* oh and i love the avocado!
Let me know when you’re coming and I’ll get the avocados in. (Two weeks before so they’ll be good and ripe.)
Not much going on with me, la. Just been surfing the web and killing some time today. Nothing exciting but a nice easy going day.
Yep, I’ve spent the last few hours browsing glittery sparkly eyeliners.
It’s late at night and my husband is asking me to shut my laptop down and go to sleep and I just want to blog around and read all of the blogs I’ve not read due to my visit down the spiral.
Doing better though!!
Yay!
Thank you for your kind words and concern. It means so much. *hugs*
Well. I am very very happy because at the fancy hotel yesterday they served us white chocolate cheesecake and lovely food in pretentious shapes, like cubed carrots and swede, like the snail porridge guy might do. And it was lovely. And wonderful. And I’m happy. And there was no avacado, which I used to love and then went off and am now indifferent to, but being indifferent to it I didn’t mind.
(Every time I see your blog I start singing Psycho Killer. There’s some vaguely troubling Pavlovian response been set up now…)
Suzy x
Went out, got drunk, had fun, may or may not have slept with an American. Can’t remember the salient details. That’s what’s new with me. Same old same old frankly. What are you up to? Fancy a cup of tea/pint of wine somewhere lovely sometime soon?
I’m home from Oz, jet lagged and freshly depressed.
There were some beautiful looking avocados in a market over there x
Glad you’re feeling better, Chunks =)
Do you use Google reader? I couldn’t keep up with all the blogs I read (currently standing at 82 but growing everyday) without it.
Suzy, if only I had bought that mandoline last month I could have had you gasping in awe at my carrots julienne. (But I really don’t need it and can’t afford it and it would just take up space in my cupboard and be a pain to wash … and it has limited psycho-killer possibilities. “I’m gonna slice you, quite finely!” Nah, I can’t see it.)
Kotleta-Kotyonok, I’m getting you this for Christmas.
Pot o’ tea sounds good. Give me a bell whenevs.
Hope things pick up soon, Ecce. Must feel a bit weird and flat being home anyway, le sigh.
*waves to the Romulans*
I like this post…quite original.
So what’s new with you ryan-1?
I was making the mistake of thinking I couldnt easily be shocked by events these days

Jesus, this is the coldest shit I have heard for a long time…
Worse things happen in our own country – Baby P.
It’s odd and cold behaviour but these parents must be desperate. I suspect if anything it shows up how inadequate child services are in the US.
>>Reach out to your family and friends?
Not everyone has family or friends. Not everyone’s family and friends are able to deal with a situation that’s so bad a parent contemplates abandoning their child. There should be a safety net installed in their own state to care for children when their parents, for whatever reason, are unable to care for them.
Prosecuting someone for child abandonment when the child is left in a safe place doesn’t help anyone, not the parent or the child. That said, it doesn’t make much sense to abandon your child when the child is old enough to know its phone number. I suspect that also shows how ingrained litigation is in American society.
Personally, Im just wondering what a headfuck that must be to a 10 year old kid, apparantly some of them were not told what was happening right until their parents drove off leaving them stranded hundreds of miles from their home.
Baby P was the work of sick people, no arguments it is worse.
But I almost dont know if it is society or the individuals that scare me with this safe haven thing. Its just endemically fucked top to toe. I found it genuinely unsettling and thats a fairly rare feeling for me.
Mmm, never can resist an avocado sandwich.
I’m bored and wanted to say “hi.”
I never heard about an avocado sandwich. And we have lots of avocado over here. O_o
I am going to Bogota (a city 6 hours away) in 1 hour. I am feeling kind of weird about it. I actually just want to be in bed thinking about something, but instead I’m going to be very busy and that’s until wednesday. I feel tired just thinking about it. I guess it’s all good anyway.
Avocado sandwich, avocado ice-cream, avocado smoothie, it’s all good … (actually the avocado ice-cream could have been creamier but that was my fault and not the avocado’s.)
Good luck in Bogota. I have confidence in you that you’ll rise to the occasion (even if you spend all day in bed Thursday.) You can do it xx
